Do not be afraid to wash your eyeglass frames and your lenses with soap and water! We have found that dishwashing detergent works best. Put some detergent in the palm of your hands, add enough water to make suds; rub your lenses and frame. Make sure you rinse well. You do not want soap residue left on the lenses. Shake the water off and pat your lenses dry with a soft towel.

Your lenses WILL scratch if you just wipe the smudge with your T-shirt. NEVER just wipe the lenses without having washed them first.
